The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation has once again made notable contributions to the well-being of its community, allocating over $1.7 million to various initiatives for the fiscal year 2024. The foundation focuses on a broad range of areas, including tackling food insecurity and supporting the arts, as well as enhancing facilities for children, animals, and seniors, according to the City of Arlington.
Major funding has been directed towards several key projects, with the foundation aiming to fully support residents in achieving their life goals. According to their FY 2024 annual report, the past year's generosity included $500,000 to establish Meadowbrook Park’s All-Inclusive Playground, designed to promote inclusive play for children of all abilities. An equal amount was given to create the MLB & Texas Rangers All-Star Legacy Park, set to provide new recreational opportunities. Moreover, Arlington Charities received $200,000 to effectively combat hunger, while Arlington Animal Services benefited from $150,000 for significant improvements to their facility.
A closer look at the Foundation's funding reveals a diverse spread of investments. Notably, the Downtown Arlington Doggie Depot is now richer by $100,000, establishing a space for pets and their owners to enjoy. Contributions didn't just stop at four-legged friends, as the Opera Arlington received $5,000 for its 2024-2025 season. Meanwhile, Trinity Kids, Inc. was granted $10,000 to support its Royal Family Kids Camp for foster children, a crucial program for vulnerable youth.
