Last Sunday, 16-year-old Nelson Dariel Pena Martinez fell victim to gunfire on Reisterstown Road. The Baltimore County Police Department has named 16-year-old Brayan Rodriguez as a suspect and is intensively pursuing his capture. The incident, occurring at approximately 2:05 p.m., has been described by police as an "isolated incident involving subjects who were known to each other," according to a news release on the Baltimore County Government website.
The Baltimore County Police Department's Homicide detectives are spearheading the investigation. After responding to the scene and discovering the victim with a gunshot wound, the first responders transported Martinez to a local hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. A warrant for Rodriguez's arrest was issued, amplifying the manhunt. Since then, authorities have been gathering evidence and seeking witnesses to piece together the circumstances that led to this deadly confrontation.
While the search continues, law enforcement urges the public to contact 911 with any information relating to Rodriguez, who is known to hang out in the Pikesville area. The department stresses that individuals should not approach him.
