
Last night in the Western District of Baltimore, a routine patrol took a sudden turn when detectives received an alert for a nearby carjacked vehicle. In a post from the Baltimore Police, the account of the incident was outlined, detailing a coordinated response that led to the arrests of four males and the recovery of two handguns with ammunition.
The carjacking escalated when a License Plate Reader (LPR) equipped to a detective's vehicle signaled the presence of the stolen car around 7:25 p.m. near the 600 block of Poplar Grove Street detectives, along with members of various police units including Foxtrot, the Metro Mobile Unit (MMU), and Southwest District patrol officers, swiftly located the vehicle and the suspects, the apprehension involved four males – one aged 20 and the others three at 18 – were promptly taken into custody.
According to the police post, the suspects are being processed at the Central Booking Intake Facility. However, the department has not released their identities or the charges they face as of this writing.
