
A shooting in Northeast Baltimore on Saturday night left a 33-year-old man injured. According to the Baltimore Police Department, the incident unfolded around 9:36 p.m. on Saturday when a Northeast District officer conducting a routine business check in the 5400 block of Radecke Avenue heard gunfire. Moments later, the victim approached the officer, informing him he had been shot in the leg.
The officer promptly administered first aid, applying a tourniquet to the man’s leg before he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigations revealed that the shooting took place in the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue, approximately half a mile from where the victim sought help. His current condition has not been disclosed.
Northeast District shooting detectives are leading the investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
