Residents in the vicinity of the 1000 block of Poplar Grove Street witnessed an unsettling scene last night as Baltimore officers, already patrolling the area, responded to the sound of gunfire. It was approximately 7:36 p.m. when the incident that shattered the evening calm unfolded, leading to the discovery of a wounded 16-year-old male. While suffering from a gunshot injury, thankfully, his condition was deemed non-life-threatening. Medics promptly carried him to a local hospital for the necessary medical attention, as reported by the Baltimore Police Department.
The familiar neighborhood quickly became an active investigation scene as officers responded to nearby gunfire. Western District Shooting detectives are now leading the case, gathering evidence and seeking witness testimonies to uncover what happened.
