An 82-year-old woman from Bay County, Michigan, has won a $250,000 Keno prize, the Michigan Lottery confirmed. The winner, who has opted to remain anonymous, matched 10 of the 22 numbers drawn last Sunday. Her selected numbers were 03-05-10-11-12-21-25-41-42-61, as reported by ClickOnDetroit. The winning ticket was purchased at ASMS 21 LLC, located at 1500 Cass Avenue in Bay City.
The fortunate winner recounted her experience, noting that she has special sets of numbers that she plays for each lottery game, including KENO. In a moment of disbelief, she told MLive, "I checked the winning numbers on MichiganLottery.com after the drawing, and when I saw all 10 of my numbers, I thought: 'Am I really seeing this?'". To confirm her win, she sought assistance from her daughter, who verified that the ticket matched the winning combination. She stated that the prize would provide her with "a sense of financial security."
Apart from her initial plans to purchase a new car with the earnings, the winner intends to save the remainder of her winnings. As Michigan Lottery Connect outlines, players can select 10 numbers between one and 80 to compete for prizes that can go as high as $250,000.
In 2023, a $1 million Mega Millions prize sold in Southfield went unclaimed, with the funds ultimately being allocated to the state’s School Aid Fund, according to MLive. This win follows another significant jackpot in Michigan — in June 2024, the Breakfast Club lottery group won $842 million, which they used to purchase a home in Florida and travel.
