
On Tuesday, a significant addition to educational opportunities for autistic students in Boca Raton took a bright step forward with the opening of the Boca School for Autism. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, community leaders and dignitaries gathered to mark the occasion and acknowledge the efforts made toward inclusion and specialized education.
Among those present were Commissioner Marci Woodward, Mayor Scott Singer, and city council members Fran Nachlas and Marc Wigder, who joined in the celebration with Diana M. Sierra, the Executive Director of Boca School for Autism the excitement was palpable as they stood together, symbolizing a collective support for the initiative, according to the Palm Beach County Government website.
The new school aims to provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment tailored for students with autism, offering them opportunities to thrive both academically and socially. Woodward shared sentiments on the county's official website, "I look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make in our community."
