Details provided by WFLA News explain that Jackson was initially dropped off by a ride-share service around 10:45 p.m. on October 29, with the intent to collect a spare key from a mailbox of a nearby home. Despite plans to return to his home in Sarasota County using another ride-sharing vehicle, Jackson was found still waiting for his ride almost an hour and a half later at 11:55 p.m., according to further investigation.
It was in the early hours of the morning, around 1:45 a.m., that a passerby came upon Jackson who was lying unconscious at the intersection. Hospital reports later confirmed that he had suffered a significant brain injury. The origin of Jackson's injury remained undetermined, even as doctors tried to piece together what had transpired that fateful October night.
In their efforts to uncover the truth, authorities have released a physical description of Jackson at the time he was found, which was reported by ABC Action News. He was wearing black Nike shorts, a white tank top, black slide sandals, and a distinctive red trucker-style hat bearing the inscription "Badlands" on the front.
