
A reported robbery in Brooklyn Park has local authorities on the hunt for a suspect involved in a violent incident during the week. According to police reports from the evening of November 8, a woman was assaulted and robbed at the intersection of Pearson Parkway and Sierra Parkway around 9:23 PM.
The victim detailed to Brooklyn Park Police that the assailant had been on foot by the side of the road before the altercation. As she slowed her vehicle, the suspect made an aggressive approach, opening the passenger door and revealing a knife, according to details of the incident report. During the encounter, the victim was struck in the face and her purse taken by the suspect who was last seen fleeing the area on foot.
Efforts to locate the suspect led to the deployment of a K-9 unit, and the perimeter was set up around the scene, yet the individual responsible for the assault and robbery eluded capture. The Brooklyn Park Police Department continues to investigate the incident and is asking for the public's assistance.
