A car accident in Henderson yesterday caused a geyser when a vehicle struck a water valve. Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene at Coronado Center Drive and St. Rose Parkway, according to 8 News Now.
The situation, which left northbound Coronado Center Drive closed between Sienna Heights and St. Rose Parkway, led to considerable traffic disruptions. As the authorities worked on the scene, drivers were detoured to Sienna Heights. FOX5 Vegas reported that there were no injuries in the incident, and the driver was the only individual inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The length of the road closure remained unclear as crews awaited Henderson Water to shut off the damaged valve. Officials urged the public to avoid the area to allow for swift resolution.
