Moreover, the city has crafted a communication system to keep residents abreast of any shifts in their waste collection service. By sending a simple text message to 73224 with their collection day, say, "Thursday" if that's the day your trash is carted away, subscribers will receive pertinent updates directly to their phones, according to the City of Charlotte website.
