
A woman, age 41, is in critical but stable condition after an overnight shooting in the Westwood neighborhood of Cincinnati, as per authorities. The incident, taking place on Boudinot Avenue, between Phoenix Avenue and Westwood Northern Boulevard around midnight, resulted in the woman being shot several times, WLWT reports.
Following the shooting, the woman was promptly transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where her current state remains critical yet stable. The exact events leading to the grievous act, however, remain shrouded in uncertainty, with details on the motive or the circumstances that paved the path to violence eluding clarity at this juncture, according to FOX19 NOW.
Local law enforcement has initiated a detailed search for the assailant, who remains at large. As documented by Local12, the police employ advanced tactics that include drone technology and a police canine to canvass the area. The police set a large perimeter to scour for any sign of the suspect. Thus far, no arrests have been made.
