Thanksgiving in Northglenn will bring a pause for the city -- a literal stillness of the routine as several city buildings and services take a holiday break. Confirmed by the City of Northglenn, City Hall, Municipal Court, Maintenance & Operations Building, and the Northglenn Senior Center will all shut doors to the public on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 28, extending the closure through Friday, Nov. 29. The Northglenn Recreation Center and Parsons Theatre will join the closure on Thanksgiving. Still, they will resume operations on Friday, a small return to the rhythm of regular life in the city.
The trash and recycling schedule leading up to the holiday -- Monday through Wednesday -- is to be unaffected by the holiday's occurrence. This offers at least some sense of normalcy in the week that is otherwise marked by culinary excesses and familial gatherings.
The city has provided a point of contact for residents still needing clarification or with lingering questions.
