In Clackamas County, voters needing help with their ballots or wishing to vote in person can access extended service hours this weekend. Two voter service locations in Oregon City and Happy Valley will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Clackamas County Elections Office announced this to enhance support and accessibility for citizens before Nov 5 deadline.
The Happy Valley Vote Center, located inside the Happy Valley Library at 13793 SE Sieben Park Way, and the Clackamas County Elections Office at 1710 Red Soils Ct., Suite 100 in Oregon City offer services like voter registration updates and replacement ballots. According to the Clackamas County, these locations are staffed by sworn election officials who assist with various needs, including voting help for those with disabilities or language preferences, accepting completed ballots, and in-person voting. For more information, visit the Clackamas County Elections website.
Voters pressed for time can take advantage of the extended service hours: both locations will be open on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Election Day, Nov. 5, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Those mailing ballots should follow the advice of Clackamas County Clerk Catherine McMullen, who recommends sending them by Friday to ensure timely delivery.
Clackamas County provides 26 Official Ballot Drop Sites for voters who want to avoid last-minute mail delays; these locations are open 24/7 until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Voters are encouraged to return their ballots early to reduce congestion. The drop sites are staffed by bipartisan election workers to ensure all votes are counted. Voters can use the "Track Your Ballot" feature to confirm when their ballot is received and counted, though notifications may take a few business days. Unofficial election results will be posted shortly after polls close at 8 p.m. on Nov. 5 on the Clackamas County Elections website, with final certification set for Dec. 2.
