The Cobb County Drug Treatment Court recently hosted its 4th Annual "Be Grateful" Dinner at Covenant Presbyterian Church. The event brought together participants and their supporters to celebrate the progress made in recovery and share in the festive spirit. The dinner underscored the court's ongoing commitment to supporting individuals on their journey to sobriety.
At the recent event, the Cobb County Drug Treatment Court hosted a lively game called Singho, where participants sang together in a fun, upbeat competition. The game, part of the program's recovery efforts, offered prizes like T-shirts, thermal mugs, and adult coloring books. The event highlighted the importance of community support in the healing process. Porsha Winfrey, Program Coordinator, praised the participants for their hard work and progress, noting how the shared experience brought joy and strengthened their recovery journey, in a statement obtained by Cobb County communications, saying "I am incredibly proud of our participants who work hard every day on their recovery journey."
Winfrey continued, “Events like this allow us to not only celebrate their sober milestones but also recognize the strength and resilience it takes to stay on the path to recovery. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone come together, filled with hope, joy, and gratitude for how far they’ve come,” as noted by the Cobb County official website.
