
The Columbus community is reeling from a recent act of violence that has left one man dead. Roshad Broadus, a 30-year-old Black male, was pronounced deceased yesterday at 1:27 pm at Grant Hospital following a shooting incident. In an official update provided by the Columbus Division of Police, the next of kin has been notified, and the case's development will result in the enhancement of charges against the suspect involved.
Details of the tragic event reveal that last Saturday, around 10:57 pm, Columbus Police were called to the 1600 block of Oak St. in response to the shooting. Upon arrival, they found Broadus with an apparent gunshot wound. Columbus Fire Medic 815 was dispatched, and the victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Due to the severity of the injury sustained by Broadus, the homicide unit took charge of the investigation.
