A man is now in critical condition after an act of violence at a Cuban cafeteria in West Miami-Dade. Authorities reported the stabbing incident, which transpired at Sabor Cubano Cafeteria restaurant, a local establishment at 12848 SW 8th St, yesterday evening before the clock struck 7:40 p.m., according to Local10.

The confrontation began when one adult male customer, causing a disturbance within the premises, allegedly harassed a female employee. This prompted another customer to intervene in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. "There was a subject within this cafeteria who was causing a disturbance. Another customer noticed this disturbance occurring and attempted to intervene. Both the subject and the customer existed the restaurant and an argument assumed," Det. Andre Martin with Miami-Dade Police detailed in a statement obtained by WSVN. Unfortunately, the encounter escalated into a physical altercation outside of the cafeteria.

The suspect, now identified as a white Hispanic man around 5 feet, 4 inches tall with distinctive royal blue hair, reportedly stabbed the intervening customer multiple times following the fight. The victim was transported to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital and is currently in a state of critical condition. As for the assaulter, after committing the violent act, he fled the scene and is currently being sought by authorities. “Blue hair. Black clothing. He’s possibly still armed with a knife,” was the alert broadcasted over police scanner transmissions captured by Broadcastify, as per WSVN.

The investigation into the stabbing continues, with Miami-Dade Police urging anyone with information or who might sight a man with such distinguishing blue hair to come forward. Martin, highlighting the valiant actions of the victim, told WSVN, "His bravery and his intervention should be commended but we do not recommend that the general public involves themselves in any situation that could become violent." Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers is accepting tips at 305-471-TIPS, with the assurance that informants can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
