Delta Air Lines has launched a new nonstop service between San Antonio and Boston. The inaugural flight took off from San Antonio International Airport on Monday, drawing praise from both local officials and travelers. With growing demand at the airport, Delta's new route is seen as a sign of San Antonio's expanding connectivity, as reported by KSAT,
Details provided by Community Impact add that the new direct route will be Delta's only nonstop flight between the two cities. Morning and afternoon flights are scheduled, with planes departing from San Antonio at 2 p.m., and from Boston at 9:15 a.m., establishing a daily convenience for both business travelers and vacationers.
According to data presented during the launch event, San Antonio International Airport sees a growing number of passengers traveling to and from the Alamo City. "This connection is opening many opportunities for many," an airport spokesperson stated, reflecting the city's broader ambitions of staking a larger claim in global networks and commerce, according to KSAT.
Demonstrating its commitment to the Lone Star State, Delta's nonstop flight adds to an already impressive roster of destinations that include, but are not limited to, Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, and Salt Lake City. This enhancement is expected to positively impact San Antonio's profile both for tourism and business.
