Seven individuals were involved in a severe rollover accident in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, with three of these currently battling life-threatening injuries. The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the incident, involving at least two vehicles, took place at the intersection of Broadway and Cesar Chavez Avenue, adjacent to Chinatown's gateway, early Saturday morning at around 12:40 a.m., as per KTLA
Of the seven injured parties, three were dispatched to a local medical facility in critical condition after the crash. LAFD had to pull two from the wreckage, necessitating extrication due to their entrapment within the crumpled vehicles. The state of the remaining four victims remains a mystery. Bystander video footage, captured on the Citizen App, reveals one of the cars flipped over onto the sidewalk, while the other exhibits extensive damage.
While the specific causes of the collision are still under examination, there is no current evidence indicating whether speed or impairment played a role. Officials had cleared the collision site by 6 a.m., facilitating the return of the normal flow of traffic in the usually bustling area, as detailed by KTLA.
