Early today, an incident shook the relative serenity of Dravosburg. A crash injured one individual and briefly closed a significant road artery. The mishap on the 700 block of Washington Avenue around 3:45 a.m. prompted a response from Allegheny County emergency services, as WTAE reported.
Despite the early hour, the crash's impact was immediately felt, and the scene's surrounding roads and ramps off the bridge quickly became obstructed. WPXI initially reported that one person was injured enough to be taken to the hospital quickly.
Meanwhile, Dravosburg's early commuters were temporarily rerouted as the road was shut down to facilitate cleanup and investigation operations. The holdup, however, was not overly long; the road was re-opened to traffic shortly before 4:45 a.m., restoring the flow of daybreak transit.
As of the current reporting, there have been no further updates on the condition of the individual involved in the crash, nor has additional information been provided regarding the cause of the incident.
