Ellicott City drivers note that a vital infrastructure update is kicking off. Howard County has announced an emergency repair project to replace the crumbling culvert on Folly Quarter Road, which spans a tributary to Benson Branch. This construction, detailed in a Howard County news release, starts rolling out on December 2, intending to improve this critical piece of the county's roadwork puzzle.
The project will close part of Folly Quarter Road between Buckskin Lake Drive and Walt Ann Drive. Drivers will be routed on a detour from Folly Quarter Road to Triadelphia Road, then to Carroll Mill Road, and back to Folly Quarter Road. Signs will guide locals and visitors.
