The Town of Fountain Hills recently announced the appointment of Mike Pelton as its new Public Information Officer and Community Relations Director, a move effective October 14. Pelton, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, transitions from managing media relations, community engagement, and communications at the Pinal County Attorney’s Office where he served since 2021, as reported by the Town of Fountain Hills.
"I’m excited to join the team and find creative ways to engage our residents, build trust, and showcase the incredible work happening every day to make and keep this community special," Pelton said in a statement made by the official Fountain Hills website. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having covered major breaking news, crime, and community issues for ABC15.
In welcoming Pelton to the fold, Town Manager Rachael Goodwin expressed confidence in his abilities, "We’re excited to welcome Mike to the Town of Fountain Hills," Goodwin said." "His experience and dedication to effective community communication will be invaluable as we expand our event calendar and continue to showcase Fountain Hills as a destination for natural beauty, art, travel, and more. We look forward to the positive impact he will bring to our team and community," Goodwin added, according to the Fountain Hills official announcement.
