As December approaches, seniors in Euless have a lot to look forward to at the Euless Family Life Senior Center. Kicking off the festivities, the center is hosting a Celebration Brunch on Friday, December 6 at 11 a.m., and it's free of charge, a gesture to commemorate its 14-year service to the community, according to the City of Euless.
Among the holiday happenings, there's an outing planned for Thursday, December 19 from 4:50 to 9:30 p.m. For a nominal fee of $7.00, not including the cost of dinner, guests can revel, in the Texas Motor Speedway Christmas Lights & Dinner event. The evening will begin with a meal at Newk’s Eatery followed by a 45-minute immersion into the Gift of Lights holiday light show. The adventure will wrap up with a visit to Santa’s workshop for a festive photo opportunity and, to ward off the chill, a soothing cup of hot chocolate. Conveniently, transportation is provided for the evening's events.
There's also a chance to show off culinary talents at the Christmas Potluck taking place on Friday, December 20 at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a dish sizable enough to serve 10 to 12 people or to contribute $10 by December 1, which will allow the center to provide the side dish on their behalf. The center itself is contributing meatloaf and mashed potatoes to this communal feast. Notably, both membership and registration are required to ensure a place at the table.
Euless seniors can greet 2024 with gusto at the New Year’s Eve Lunch on Tuesday, December 31 at noon, for a cost of $5.00. It promises to be a lively affair, with special music and dancing, where fellowship is the order of the day. To take part in these celebrations, membership and registration are, again, necessary steps.
