
Authorities are responding to a reported explosion and subsequent fire at a home in Fayette County. According to WTAE, emergency responders arrived shortly after noon today. The incident took place along the 300 block of South 9th Street in Connellsville, as confirmed by Fayette County 9-1-1.
A video by resident Alexis Knight shows flames and thick smoke pouring from the home's upper floor, capturing the fire's intensity. The community felt the urgency as first responders quickly arrived. Despite their fast response, WPXI reported that the roof had collapsed when their crew arrived.
The large fire required a major emergency response, with Fayette County 911 reporting that one person was airlifted for medical care. The victim’s name and injury details haven’t been released.
