On Monday in Fairfield, an armed robbery occurred at a local restaurant. The Fairfield Police Department reported through a social media post that a local restaurant endured a theft of its hard-earned tips by a man wielding threat and blade. Clad in a Santa hat, this alleged perpetrator, later identified as Shamar Mackbee, threatened employees and went away with the tip jar contents.
In solidarity and support, Day Team 1 officers from the Fairfield Police returned to the scene the following morning. They were there to investigate and fill the jar anew. Mackbee was apprehended shortly after that. "The man was wearing a Santa hat at the time, but it’s likely he’s landed himself squarely on the jolly guy’s Naughty List," the Fairfield Police Department said.
The Fairfield Police swiftly transported the suspect to Solano County Jail.
