An 18-year-old was arrested in Fairfield after allegedly brandishing a handgun and then fleeing the scene, according to the Fairfield Police Department. The incident occurred outside of a residence on San Juan Street last Wednesday afternoon, as reported in a social media post from the police department. Following the report, which came in at approximately 12:07 pm, the suspect was said to have left the area before officers arrived.

However, the authorities quickly identified the vehicle driven by the suspect based on descriptions given to Dispatch. Police later located the young man driving along Travis Boulevard near Pennsylvania Avenue. The officers initiated a high-risk traffic stop, and the individual, identified by the authorities as Wheeler, was subsequently arrested without further incident. No one was reported injured during the arrest.

The Fairfield Police have stated that several incriminating items were found in Wheeler's vehicle upon a search. In line with their findings, Wheeler was taken into custody and has been booked into Solano County Jail on several charges. These include the crimes of brandishing a handgun, unlawful possession of a firearm, and making threats.
