Wayne County faced another tragedy over the weekend as one individual lost their life in a late-night ATV rollover crash at Busco Beach and ATV Park. The incident, reported by WRAL, occurred around midnight according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Responding to the accident were multiple emergency services, including Mar Mac Fire, Wayne County EMS, and N.C. State Highway Patrol. A statement obtained by WITN outlined that these units swiftly responded to the crisis. Busco Beach has been known to quickly become the site of numerous emergency calls, throughout its history having been the location of various ATV and drowning deaths.
