The Fort Worth Fire Department has taken into custody a man believed to be responsible for a series of arson attacks on the East side of Fort Worth, according to information shared on their social media. The suspect, identified as Adam Ewing, faces three counts of felony arson following investigations into a trio of blazes that flared up across local apartment buildings between November 15 and 19.
Fire units from Battalion 4 quickly responded to the emergency and put out the flames. Investigators from the Arson and Bomb Investigation Division, conducting thorough origin and cause studies, determined that the fires were set intentionally. Surveying the area and compiling evidence allowed them to develop and subsequently arrest a suspect rapidly. The Fort Worth Fire Department reported that Ewing was apprehended at a homeless encampment off Eastchase Parkway.
Following the arrest, Ewing was interviewed and then booked into the Tarrant County Jail. The charges levied against him are severe, each one carrying the weight of a first-degree felony for "Arson of Habitation." If convicted, these charges signal significant legal repercussions for Ewing and serve as a stern reminder of the grave consequences of such destructive acts.
