Starting this week, a series of road construction projects will be impacting traffic patterns in Frisco. Per the City of Frisco, motorists can expect completion dates stretching roughly two weeks, dependent on the whims of weather.
One of the notable changes includes the introduction of new pavement over at Cedar Ranch R. and Flat Top Ranch Rd. For those accustomed to the rhythms of these roads, smooth new tarmac is on the horizon — wielding the potential to alter the usual bumps and grooves that mark the everyday journey. Meanwhile, further pavement replacement efforts are found squatting on the schedules for SB Teel at Del Largo Way and 12472 Jack Pine Ct., with Port Edwards Ln. also joining the fray.
Traffic interruptions aren't taking a back seat at key intersections either. Daily lane closures between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. have been announced for Coit Rd./SH 121, Ohio Dr./Hillcrest Rd., and Stonebrook Pkwy./FM 423. These intersections are part of a broader improvement project that kicked off at various stages throughout 2024 — Ohio Drive seeing the surgeons of civil engineering in September, while Coit Rd. felt the first incisions in October and Stonebrook Pkwy. as early as May.
