
Tragedy struck at a Gambrills intersection earlier this week as a car collision claimed the life of a local man. According to an Anne Arundel County police press release, the incident occurred on Sunday night when two vehicles collided at the crossing of Crain Highway North and Saint Stephens Church Road.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the decedent, 31-year-old Joseph A. Amatangelo IV, was attempting to cross the highway when an oncoming 2015 Chevrolet Camaro struck his 2016 Chevrolet Cruz. Officials reported that Amatangelo was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 18-year-old driver of the Camaro, whose name has not been released, was found to have not sustained any injuries during the accident.
