Grand Terrace Man Arrested on Suspected Child Pornography Charges, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Appeals for Public's HelpSource: SBSD - Headquarters

A Grand Terrace man was arrested on Tuesday after an investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department into the possession and distribution of child pornography. Nicholas Alejandro Diaz, 52, was taken into custody following a probe by the department's Specialized Investigations Division - Crimes Against Children Detail, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The investigation, which commenced earlier that day, culminated in Diaz's arrest at around 4:30 p.m. As reported by the Sheriff’s Department, the suspect faces charges under PC 288(A), for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, and PC 311.2(C), for the distribution of child pornography. His bail was set at $80,000.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department stated that there were no foster children in Diaz’s care at the time of the investigation. However, Diaz, who once operated a foster home and had children placed under his care in previous years, may have additional victims. Detectives have launched a call for the public's help to identify any further victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

A booking photograph of Diaz has been released in a bid to help the public identify potential additional victims.
