In a separate but equally bizarre twist of events, a man accused of multiple offenses managed to find what must have seemed like a temporary refuge, hiding from Phoenix police in the one place that spells confinement, the Tempe Police Headquarters parking garage, after breaking through the exit gate following a pursuit that started over a traffic violation near 27th Avenue and Glendale, this was detailed in a report by FOX10 Phoenix. "We can't make this stuff up!" aptly summarized a portion of the statement released by the Tempe Police.
The driver involved in the crash in west Phoenix was taken to the hospital as a precaution and is now facing undisclosed charges, with impairment suspected to be a contributing factor; remarkably no one else incurred injury in the crash, which remains under investigation.
