A tip from a concerned Temecula resident led to the arrest of a man accused of sexually predatory behavior toward a minor. As reported by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to Nicolas Road Park on Friday afternoon after receiving information that an adult man was planning a sexual encounter with an underage individual.

Upon their arrival at 4:25 PM, deputies found the suspect, 46-year-old Homeland resident William Vandenbush, and approximately 20 juveniles, who were recording the encounter. Vandenbush was detained and an investigation by the Southwest Station's Investigations Bureau followed, according to a statement from Sgt. Joe Narciso. The investigation revealed that Vandenbush had sent nude photographs and made arrangements to meet with a minor for sexual purposes.

Charges have been filed against Vandenbush for several felonies, including sending harmful matter to a minor, contacting a minor with intent for sexual purposes, and arranging to meet with a minor for such purposes, as detailed by the Sheriff's Office. He has been booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center while awaiting further proceedings.

"We encourage anyone with information related to child sexual abuse, or online sexual exploitation of minors for sex, to immediately contact their local law enforcement agency," officials said, as stated by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
