Yesterday morning, the Metropolitan Police Department was called to scene of a discovery in Northeast Washington, D.C. Officers found an adult male, who was later identified as 31-year-old Dashane Judd, unresponsive and showing no signs of life after being shot. This incident, which took place on the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, has been confirmed as a homicide by local authorities.
According to the information released by MPD, it was approximately 6:17 a.m. when the Fifth District officers arrived to find Judd unresponsive. DC Fire and EMS promptly responded, only to confirm the apparent death at the scene. Subsequently, the body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further examination. Judd, mentioned to have no fixed address, is at the center of an investigation that seeks to uncover who is responsible for this event.
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking information from the public that could lead to the apprehension and conviction of those involved. They have announced a reward of up to $25,000 for tips that conclusively help solve this crime.
