Gloria Williams, a mother involved in a case of child neglect and death, is scheduled for sentencing after pleading guilty to two counts of injury to a child in connection with the death of her son, Kendrick Lee. The events leading to this incident began on October 24, 2021, when a 911 call brought sheriff’s deputies to a west Harris County apartment, where they discovered the decomposing body of Kendrick Lee and his siblings living in poor conditions. The 15-year-old who made the call described how the children had been left to live with their brother’s remains for several months, while their mother, Gloria Williams, and her partner, Brian Coulter, had abandoned them. Testimony during the sentencing hearing, as reported by The Houston Chronicle, detailed the difficult circumstances the surviving children faced, including living in unsanitary conditions and being exposed to the presence of their deceased sibling.

The young victim’s death was attributed to multiple blunt force injuries, indicating a history of violence. Brian Coulter, Williams' partner, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for Kendrick’s murder.
