Houston authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of an unidentified man found last Saturday evening in the 7800 block of Tidwell Road. The victim, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was discovered around 7:30 p.m.
Responding to the situation were HPD patrol officers who found the male, unresponsive, between the street and curb, a statement issued by the City of Houston relayed. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, despite immediate medical attention by the Houston Fire Department paramedics, who pronounced him deceased after their arrival. The victim’s name has yet to be released, pending a formal identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Detectives C. Chettry and H. Martinez of the HPD Homicide Division are spearheading the investigation. As of their last update, no suspects have been identified and they are urgently reaching out to the public for witnesses.
Authorities are urging the community to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation. HPD has opened a tip line at 713-308-3600, while individuals wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS, as noted in the city’s news release.
