Early Monday morning, a tragic hit-and-run crash on Houston's North Freeway claimed a life. The incident occurred around 4:35 a.m. at the 10200 block of North Freeway. The victim, a male driver, has not yet been identified as authorities wait for confirmation from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, as reported by the Houston Police Department.

Witnesses said the man was driving a black Chevrolet Impala when he was involved in a crash at the 10100 block of North Freeway. His car then left the road and hit a fence. After getting out of the car, the man tried to run onto the freeway but was struck by another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle didn’t stop and fled the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived but declared the man dead at the scene.
