In a bid to spread holiday cheer across Howard County, Executive Calvin Ball has unveiled the annual "HoCo Holiday Lights" map, a resource for locals and visitors designed to showcase the region's most vibrant holiday light displays, according to a statement released early this morning. Now in its fourth year, the initiative serves as a guide to the festive decorations adorned by residents and businesses from Columbia to Woodstock, ensuring the holiday spirit shines bright for all to see.
The interactive map, active since 2021, lets users find neighborhoods with holiday light displays. The map is growing as more homes and businesses register their displays. Each entry includes an address, photos, a description, and details on when the display is available for viewing. Those who want to add their display can register early to be included on the map.
"One special way we feel the joy and togetherness of the holidays is walking or driving around our neighborhoods to enjoy the festive holiday lights with those who mean the most to us," said Calvin Ball in a published Howard County statement. "This interactive map, in its fourth year, lets residents and visitors know the locations that are lit up in celebration.
