The Ionia County community is collaborating to locate Joseph Daniel Dean, a 41-year-old man who went missing after leaving his home last Sunday. As reported by FOX 17, Dean was last seen at his residence off M-21 in Easton Township, and has not been seen or heard from by his family since his departure.
Dean is believed to be in a vulnerable state, as he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Relaying a description, authorities have said that Dean is approximately 5-foot 9-inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds, as per details provided by WLNS. His physical attributes include brown hair and brown eyes, aiding the public in identifying him.
Given the circumstances of his mental health and lack of medication, the concern for Dean's well-being is heightened. "He takes medication for schizophrenia and he has not been taking his prescribed meds," authorities emphasized in a statement obtained by WZZM 13.
