
Boston – A case of high-value shoplifting was resolved this past Saturday when police made an arrest at a well-known sporting goods store. Kaitlyn Mclean, a 37-year-old resident of Ipswich, was apprehended by officers from District D-4 after allegedly lifting goods totaling nearly $5,000 in value, according to Boston Police Department.
The alleged incident took place at Lululemon's 776 Boylston Street location. Authorities were dispatched following a report of an in-progress shoplifting event. Law enforcement was described a female suspect and were informed she had transitioned from Lululemon to Dicks Sporting Goods. Upon arrival, officers immediately spotted Mclean who dropped the stolen items, totaling 48 in number, upon sighting the police presence. The purported theft included merchandise valued at approximately $4,812.94.
Mclean's apprehension led to her being charged with Larceny over $1,200. After the arrest, it was discovered that Mclean had an active shoplifting warrant out for her. She's slated for arraignment at the Boston Municipal Court.
