The Irvine Police Department recently put the spotlight on a duo accused of organized retail theft from a Sephora store. The two individuals were caught red-handed with nearly $2,000 in stolen beauty products, as reported by the Irvine Police Department. This was the culmination of a joint operation between the police, Sephora’s loss prevention team, and Spectrum Security.

According to the Irvine PD's account, the theft occurred on a Saturday at the Spectrum Center, a thief used a mask to obscure their identity, however, this tactic proved futile in the face of modern surveillance. When approached by officers, one of the suspects—identified as Ricadona Nitu aged 35—attempted to ditch the stolen goods back inside the store but the police were one step ahead, aware of every move thanks to the store's cameras the suspect attempted to run back into the store to discard the items.

Ricadona Nitu, hailing from Anaheim, is facing charges of burglary, conspiracy, and outstanding warrants. Alongside her was Voinea Nitu, aged 18, who also faces burglary and conspiracy charges, both ended up at the Orange County Jail, as per the Irvine Police Department.
