Tragedy struck the community of Kalamazoo on Monday night, Nov. 4, as 34-year-old Paris Anton Powe was fatally shot in the area of Egleston Avenue and Reed Court. According to WOODTV, Powe was discovered inside a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety also reported a second victim, a 40-year-old man with a non-fatal gunshot wound. The nature of his injuries was not deemed life-threatening. While expressing condolences to Powe's family, KDPS has not disclosed the details on the condition of the injured man, and, no suspect description has been released as of yet.
Investigators believe that the events leading to the tragic incident involved Powe, the second victim, and an unidentified suspect who were initially at another location before the shooting occurred.
