Less than two weeks after a reported shooting in Lake Havasu City, authorities are turning to the public for help in apprehending an identified suspect. On the evening of November 12, an altercation on Smoketree Avenue escalated to gun violence, leaving two injured, including a minor. The Lake Havasu City Police Department, following their investigation, has named 18-year-old Ryan Christopher Nelson, a local resident, as the suspect in this case.
The incident initially drew police attention at around 7:08 p.m., on the night in question. Officers quickly responded to the scene to find that, fortunately, the injuries sustained were non-life-threatening. Both parties involved were able to be promptly treated at a nearby hospital and have since been released. To swiftly bring the suspect to justice, the department has now sought to directly involve the community, providing a $1,000 reward for information adequately leading to Nelson’s capture.
