In Las Vegas, eight two-week-old puppies were rescued from a dumpster after being found inside a trash bag. A Good Samaritan heard their cries and saved them just in time, according to FOX5 Vegas. The puppies are now recovering at The Animal Foundation shelter, and their rescue has sparked outrage in the community.

When rescuers arrived, they found the puppies in dire condition, along with their mother and two other dogs, all confined in a bag with an unknown cleaning product, as per KTNV.

The Animal Foundation told FOX5 Vegas, "These are tiny, vulnerable puppies who barely have their eyes open, and someone chose to throw them away like trash." Sadly, one of the puppies was euthanized due to internal bleeding, while the remaining seven face a fragile future due to their age and susceptibility to illness.

The person responsible for abandoning the puppies is now in police custody. The shelter thanked the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Animal Protective Services for their quick response and help.

As the puppies recover, the shelter is considering moving them into foster homes to provide a nurturing environment for their growth. This is part of the shelter's goal to help the puppies heal and prepare for a better life.
