
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is on the hunt for a hit-and-run driver after a pedestrian was left with life-threatening injuries early this morning. According to FOX5 Vegas, the incident occurred on the intersection of Arby Avenue and Valley View Boulevard, where a black 2012 Toyota Tundra, moving southbound, struck the pedestrian before fleeing.
The victim was found in the roadway by a passerby, who then contacted the authorities. The injured pedestrian was subsequently transported to UMC Trauma, where they are receiving treatment for the critical injuries sustained, LVMPD detailed in their report. The suspect's vehicle is reported to have sustained damage on its left-front side; the condition of the Toyota could potentially be significant in identifying the vehicle involved in the crash.
Investigations into the exact time of the collision are ongoing as the details remain unclear. Authorities have expressed the urgency of finding the driver responsible. "Anyone with information about the driver is asked to contact LVMPD's Collision Investigation Section at 702-828-3595 or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555," LVMPD said, as reported by News3LV.
