Earlier this week, the Long Beach Police Department responded to a call that was initially thought to be vandalism but turned out to be a negligent discharge of a firearm. The incident occurred at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Orange Avenue. According to the LBPD blotter, officers arrived at the scene around 5:44 a.m. and found evidence of a shooting.
While details are scant, it is clear that the suspects had fled the scene before the arrival of the police. Found at the scene, despite the suspects’ haste, was evidence that a shooting took place. Thankfully, no individuals were reported injured in the incident. The LBPD continues to investigate the motive behind the shooting.
As of now, the LBPD has not released any information about potential suspects or a definitive motive for the shooting. No injuries have been reported.
