
The Long Beach Police Department is actively pursuing investigations into two separate shootings and a death that occurred earlier this month, neither shooting incident resulted in any injuries. The first incident, a shooting in the 5400 block of Long Beach Boulevard, had officers arriving at the scene around 8:39 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. The second occurred at about 10:00 p.m. near the 1000 block of Amelia Drive and involved a male suspect discharging a firearm into the air after allegedly assaulting a female, both of whom are said to be acquainted with each other, as reported by the LBPD Blotter.
The reports outline that no one was hit in either of the shooting incidents, and motives behind the violence are still being ascertained by authorities, the police have yet to apprehend any suspects in these cases. On the other hand, the death investigation in the 4700 block of Greenmeadow Road followed a call that emerged at around 8:22 p.m., led by the Long Beach Fire Department identifying a male adult deceased, detectives have actively involved themselves in probing the nature of his demise.
In the Boulevard shooting, detailed specifics about potential suspects or the events leading to the gunfire have yet to be disclosed by officials, while the Amelia Drive shooting quickly followed by the suspect fleeing the scene, leaving unanswered questions about the circumstances surrounding the violent dispute, members of the community are urged to come forward with any relevant information that could aid the ongoing investigations.
The LBPD conveyed that officers are thoroughly examining each scene and are looking into the possibility of any connections between the incidents, however, such links remain unconfirmed and it's understood that they are treating each instance as a separate occurrence.
