The patrol officers also discovered a second male victim near a homeless encampment close to where the first victim was found, he too had suffered an upper-body gunshot wound. Despite efforts from officers and later LBFD personnel to provide life-saving measures, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the names of the victims have not been released, pending notification of their next of kin.
