A man was found dead on Wednesday morning at Hollywood Burbank Airport, coinciding with the peak of the Thanksgiving travel rush. The incident, initially reported to the police just after 8 a.m., took place in the valet parking area just outside the main terminal, which is frequently bustling with passengers being dropped off and picked up, as reported by KTLA. Police vehicles were spotted at the scene, and a black canopy was positioned over the body.
Officials from the Burbank Police Department disclosed that the body was located in the valet lane and, according to a statement obtained by KTLA 5 News, "Sadly, it appears the individual collapsed in the valet lane and died of natural causes." No criminal investigation is expected as police found no evidence of trauma or foul play. A spokesperson confirmed that paramedics attempted life-saving measures but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the man's identity but have stated that he was an adult male traveler. Due to the ongoing investigation, one traffic lane was closed temporarily, but operations at the airport continued unabated during this busy travel period, as confirmed by FOX LA.
