A man was found dead this morning following a shooting at an apartment complex on Uvalde Road in north Harris County. The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating the events that led to the fatal shooting. According to Click2Houston, the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Uvalde Road where deputies discovered the victim.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez detailed that a male suspect fatally shot another male before trying to flee the area. In what must have been a desperate attempt to swiftly escape, occupants from a nearby unit reportedly began to open fire at the alleged shooter. This second round of gunfire notably struck another building within the complex. Despite the chaos, reports from FOX 26 Houston indicate that no additional injuries have been reported following this event.
The names of those involved have not been released as authorities continue their investigation. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez has urged anyone with information to come forward and contact HCSO or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
